Metadata policy
Revista Ecúmene de Ciencias Sociales (RECS) manages content metadata in Open Journal Systems (OJS) according to international bibliographic description standards. The Editorial Team checks the accuracy and consistency of the metadata before publication.
At a minimum, the following metadata are recorded for each contribution:
- Authorship: full name, institutional affiliation, country, and ORCID iD.
- Title, abstract, and keywords in Spanish and English, where applicable.
- Publication details: journal, ISSN 2683-3077, volume, issue, year, section, and page numbers.
- Persistent identifiers (DOIs) and dates of receipt, acceptance, and publication.
- Language and license (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).
The journal uses the Dublin Core schema and exposes metadata through OAI-PMH, allowing directories, repositories, and scholarly information systems to harvest, index, and disseminate them. The metadata are freely accessible, updated when corrections are made, and preserved with the content over the long term through LOCKSS and the institutional repository of the Escuela Normal Superior de Querétaro.
